Insurable value up to which insurance is included in a standard service is the real value of a load in the place and at the time of loading, specified on the deliverer’s invoice, plus 10% and a customs duty paid by the insurance holder in the target country or in transit. Moreover, subject to an additional fee, freight, VAT or excise tax may be included in the insurance amount. Top line of a damage is the sum of insurance, which, depending on the type of transport, amounts to:

  • truck transport: USD 500 000 
  • sea transport: USD 1 000 000
  • other means of transport: USD 500 000

WIDE INSURANCE COVERAGE

Another special benefit for the clients of C.Hartwig S.A. is the wide insurance coverage. The cargo insurance offered by the company includes institute cargo clauses “A”, the so called “all risk” clauses ensuring the widest possible insurance coverage. “A” clauses provide for insurance of goods against all risks, with some exceptions specified therein, while clauses “B” and “C” cover only risk specified therein.
